Todo empieza en una mañana en un parque aquatico, Stan está a punto de celebrar su aniversario junto con los delfines, y de repente…aparecen decenas de japoneses vestido con ropas clásicas que acaban matando a los delfines del espectáculo. Un inicio intenso, pero vemos que los japoneses van atacando y atacando a los delfines y ballenas que se encuentran. Stan no sabe porque hacen esto, desconoce el porque de esta matanza, pero quiere hacer algo al respecto, quiere ponerle fin. Sus amigos (mientras juegan al Rock Band) le dicen que no le piensan ayudar, que les importa un carajo las ballenas y los delfines. Pero Stan encuentra la solución en un programa que se llama Whale Wars, reality show con fondo activista, donde un grupo de piratas buscará salvar a las ballenas y delfines de manos de los pescadores (en este caso japoneses).
Stan se une a ellos, pero no tardara en ver que son una estafa, y que realmente no hacen nada por salvar a las ballenas. El capitan Paul Watson muere en un incidente con los japoneses, con lo cual Stan pasará a ser el capitan, por ser el único “con pelotas”. Durante parte del capitulo se ve como realmente empiezan a hacer cosas por la causa, aunque mucha gente piense que simplemente hacen cosas por la audiencia(Kenny y Eric Cartman se unen simplemente por ese motivo). Es preocupante como los realitys van tomando todos los aspectos, e incluso el activista a favor de los animales, donde realmente no sa sabe donde empieza el espectaculo y donde la causa. No hay temas que no puedan abarcar los reality-shows y mientras aquí en España nos hemos quedado con el Gran Hermano, en los EEUU, los hay de todos los tipos y colores. El capitan del barco, Paul Watson es criticado a cada escena que sale, siendo tildado de un farsante, gordo y mentiroso.
Todo parece que va bien con Stan de capitan, pero como he dicho, les sale la competencia, otro reality show, de pescadores de cangrejos, no les quiere dejar salvar ballenas. Aqui se ve claramente como las guerras que se libran no son para salvar a las ballenas, sino para conseguir más audiencia, peleandose claramente con los cazadores de cangrejos. Despues de que las ballenas salven la situación, una escena en alusión a Pearl Harbour, destroza el barco, destroza las ballenas, exceptuando a nuestros amigos, los cuales serán llevados junto con los japoneses. Estos les explican la historia de Hiroshima, de la bomba atómica, de las muertes que hubieron,…hasta que vemos una imagen, una en la que se ve un avion pilotado por una ballena y un delfín, tirando la bomba a la ciudad nipona. Los americanos muy amables, despues de la bomba, les enviaron una imagen de los culpables, y ese era el motivo por el cual odiaban y querian matar a los animales.
Final surrealista, pero se convierte aún más, cuando Stan con ánimo de salvar a esos animales, les da una imagen de los verdaderos culpables del ataque a Hiroshima, vaca y pollo. Un episodio donde es curioso de ver como mezclan el toque naturista con el historico, relacionando las matanzas de japoneses de ballenas y delfines con la bomba de Hiroshima. Algo surrealista, algo solo al nivel de South Park.
