Censura en el anime… ¿sirve de algo?

Os presento éste artículo fruto de la reflexión ocasionada por la indignación que me provoca el mal trato al que se somete el anime en España.
Y es que la censura está destruyendo un género artístico, de entretenimiento y en ocasiones de reflexión como es el anime.
La causa principal es que en España aún se asocia animación con infancia, y eso no es siempre así…
Pero vamos por partes…
Como seguidor de anime que soy desde que tengo uso de razón, (y es que Heidi y Marco también son anime japonés), me enorgullezco de haber vivido la que personalmente considero época dorada del anime en España, que para mí se dio en los años 90.
Es cierto que hoy en día se hacen animes de una enorme calidad artística y técnica, y que internet ha facilitado que todos podamos ver la serie que nos de la gana cuando nos de la gana, gracias principalmente a los fansubs, (grupos de aficionados con conocimientos de japonés e inglés que se dedican a subtitular animes, peliculas etc, para el disfrute de otros usuarios), pero he ahí donde radica mi queja.
El material que nos llega a nuestras televisiones es mínimo, y además cuando llega, lo hace casi siempre censurado de alguna manera. Un ejemplo perfecto lo hayamos en Naruto cuya censura hace que algunas escenas sean imposibles de entender, aunque Dragon Ball tampoco se libró en su día. Sin embargo, el caso de la série protagonizada por Son Goku es bastante curioso a la par que ilustrativo.
La serie comenzó a emitirse por vez primera en España el 15 de febrero de 1990 precisamente. Y obviando alguna pequeña censura puntual, (Como un plano en el que Bulma le enseña las bragas a Mutenroshi, sin darse cuenta que en realidad no las lleva puestas). Hay que decir, que dicho plano en realidad no muestra nada, sinó que se insinúa que ella no las lleva. Obviamente la mentalidad de la época llevó a eliminar la escena, ya que esa série tenia como objetivo el público infantil.
La serie se emitió sin apenas censuras, y cuando llegó la etapa en la que primaban los combates más encarnizados, (Dragon Ball Z), los encargados de traer el anime debieron asumir que el público había crecido ella, así que no hubo casi censura… en su primera emisión.
Dragon Ball/Z fueron reemitiendose cíclicamente y de forma ininterrumpida durante años. Cuando la trama se estancaba al no tener aún comprados los derechos de emisión, las aventuras de Goku volvían a comenzar de cero para dar tiempo a que se pudieran conseguir y se enlazaban a su debido tiempo.
Sin embargo podíamos apreciar censuras cada vez más exageradas a medida que se reemitía. ¿El motivo?, la censura venía dada cuando una escena o incluso varios capítulos tocaban un tema que socialmente se consideraba tabú en aquel momento. Por ejemplo el capítulo en que Spopovitch apaliza a Videl en el torneo de artes marciales, fue emitido únicamente una vez, y obviado el resto de emisiones… el motivo está claro: Spopovitch le está pegando a una mujer, (por mucho que ella sea una luchadora tan válida como él y que los ataques de ella hubieran sido más decisivos de no ser por motivos de la trama).
Así pues, si a los temás socialmente tabú le agregamos la retrógada y equivocada mentalidad de que los dibujos animados son sólo para niños, obtendremos como resultado que las pocas series o películas de anime que nos llegan a nuestras pantallas tengan tal censura que provoque que series destinadas para adultos o adolescentes, pasen a ser insufribles.
Y yo me pregunto… ¿para qué? Yo crecí viendo sangrar a Goku mientras luchaba por salvar el mundo, o a los caballeros del zodíaco mientras lo hacían contrarreloj para salvar la vida de Atenea y hoy en día soy un chico normal y corriente que cree que si algo no se puede arreglar hablando, dificilmente lo hará con los puños. Y es que esas series repletas de acción y humor, hay un hueco para transmitir una serie de valores: amistad, esfurzo para conseguir las metas, respeto…
Sin embargo las editoras parecen pensar que con las censuras protegen a la juventud… Personalmente creo que ver cinco minutos a Belén Esteban hacen más daño que todas las luchas de los caballeros del zodíaco juntas, para un chaval. (pero de eso, ya hablaré en otro artículo).
La conclusión a la que llego, y para no extenderme mucho más, es que la censura es un mal absurdo que daña más los datos de audiencia que otra cosa, ya que muchos veríamos las pocas series que nos llegan, si al menos lo hiciesen íntegras.
