Penúltimo capítulo de la temporada con un final tan intenso que bien podría haber sido utilizado a mitad de la temporada para encarrilar un tramo final de vértigo. Sin embargo todo tiene su lugar, y como el propio Dexter diría: nada está dejado al azar. Y es que si algo consigue el final de éste episodio, es que nos tiremos de los pelos por yener que esperar una semana para ver el siguiente.
Pero como ya he dicho, todo tiene su lugar, así que empecemos por el principio…
En éste episodio se nos presentan cuatro líneas argumentales diferenciadas.
Por un lado tenemos a LaGuerta y Batista, que tras ser cazados por el Capitán Mathews en un video en el que se demuestra que siguen cpn su relación a pesar de haberlo negado bajo juramento, deciden casarse rápidamente para evitar las acciones legales y “arruina-carreras” que pretendía iniciar Mathews.
Por otro tenemos a Rita, que se siente un poco decepcionada con Dexter al ver que éste no parece molesto ni enfadado cuando ella le confiesa que su vecino la besó. Sin embargo, esto cambia cuando Dex al llegar a casa por la noche se dirige a él y le ordena no volver a tocar a Rita, tras darle un puñetazo. Éste gesto le demuestra a Rita, al propio Dexter e incluso a los espectadores de la série, que la chica es realmente importante para nuestro portagonista.
Y llegamos a las dos tramas realmente importantes del capítulo.
Trinity descubre con asombro que la policía no le está persiguiendo por el secuestro del chico, así que eso le hace plantearse qué clase de persona puede ser Kyle Butler, (el alter ego que usó Dexter para acercarse a él). Dex simula entonces ser un simple extorsionador en busca de dinero fácil, pero eso desemboca en un juego del gato y el ratón en el que ambos son cazadores y presas al mismo tiempo. Y es que Trinity ha decidido ir en busca del tal Kyle Butler.
Por si ésto fuera poco, Dexter se ve obligado a organizar un montaje que imcrimine a otro malhechor en el caso Trinity, para evitar tener que lidiar con sus propios compañeros durante la caza del asesino. Ésto se debe a que tanto Ángel como Debra le están apretando las tuercas a Christine, y antes o después conseguirán una confesión.
Sin embargo, al sentirse abandonada por su padre, la chica se suicida tras autoinculparse del asesinato de Lundy ante los ojos de Debra.
Finalmente Trinity embosca a Dexter y le sigue sin que éste se percate, lo cual hace que acabe descubriendo su verdadera identidad.
