Hecha ya la presentación del contexto de los personajes en los dos primeros capítulos de la temporada, llegamos al capítulo en que se abren las tramas de todos los personajes.
Por un lado tenemos el escarceo amoroso de Angel y LaGuerta, que más allá del mero secretismo para evitar malas interpretaciones, se nos deja entrever que puede acabar ocasionándoles problemas a nivel laboral, (presumiblemente con asuntos internos o algo por el estilo), al aprovechar el tiempo de trabajo para… “estar juntos”.
Por otro lado tenemos a Quinn que parece destinado a no terminar de llevarse bien con los dos Morgan a la vez al sentir que Dexter le menosprecia, (opinión que él mismo se ha creado). Además, todo apunta a que su relación con la reportera le traerá algunos dolores de cabeza.
Y llegamos a nuestros queridos hermanos Morgan. Ambos añorando la independencia que poseían hasta hace tan poco tiempo, a pesar de que todo parece irles estupendamente a ojos ajenos.
Con el regreso de Lundy, Deb se debate en silencio entre lo que siente por Antón, su pareja, y la atracción y conexión especial que tiene con el ex agente especial del FBI.
Por su parte Dexter sigue tratando de amoldarse a su nueva vida, en la que Astor ha decidido añadir su granito de arena al objetivo de hacerla más difícil con la llegada de su adolescencia, dejando al descubierto para Dexter, las grandes carencias que tiene cuando se trata de “entender a humanos complejos”.
El capítulo en sí, se centra en la aparición de un vándalo que decide ir destrozando todo tipo de cosas del vecindario de Rita y Dexter. Los vecinos, deciden instalar focos con sensor de movimiento e iniciar patrullas por su cuenta.
Dexter decide intervenir por su cuenta para evitar que ésta actitud en el vecindario pueda influir a la larga de forma negativa en su “hobby”. De hecho en su primera internada está a punto de ser capturado por sus propios vecinos.
Mientras tanto, Trinity mata a la segunda mujer obligándola a saltar desde una gran altura. A pesar de que Debra tiene la certeza de que efectivamente la muerte de la mujer a sido un asesinato, y no un suicidio como cree Quinn, LaGuerta le hace abandonar el caso y centrarse en el de Lisa Bell.
Por su parte LaGuerta y Batista se ven envueltos en un tiroteo cuando van a interrogar a la ex novia del sospechoso del caso del “Asesino de vacaciones”, y aunque ambos salen ilesos, saben que pronto deberán dar explicaciones sobre su prolongado tiempo de llegada al punto del interrogatorio, (tiempo que perdieron juntos en un hotel).
