Como preludio de éste artículo solo puedo decir una cosa: Jennifer Carpenter es grande…
Nos encontramos con un capítulo que continen una gran carga emotiva, y además como viene siendo habitual en ésta serie, reflejada de formas muy dispares.
Pero vayamos por partes…
El capítulo comienza con la llegada de un Dexter realmente preocupado ante la posibilidad de perder a su hermana, al lugar donde ésta y Lundy fueron tiroteados.
Nos encontramos con todo el equipo de homicidios de Miami dolidos y conjurados en una única misión: atrapar al que lo hizo. Sin embargo no todos caminan en la dirección correcta… Mientras la mayoría atribuyen el ataque al asesino de vacaciones, Dex se percata de que el verdadero culpable no es otro que Trinity y decide centrarse de forma exclusiva en acabar con él cuanto antes. Sin embargo aún no sabe practicamente nada de él, así que recurre a las grabaciones de Lundy para conocer a su objetivo.
Por otro lado, Rita descubre por accidente que Dexter aún conserva su apartamento cuando se suponía que ya se había deshecho de él. Ésto le ocasiona ciertas dudas sobre su marido, ya que comienzan a ser demasiadas las mentiras en las que le caza y están haciendo mella en su relación.
Pero el personaje realmente importante de éste capítulo es sin duda Debra Morgan. La pobre, al despertar en el hospital, debe enfrentarse a la pérdida de Lundy, que no sobrevivió al ser el principal objetivo de Trinity, y al amargo momento de cortar con Anton tras reconocerle que se había acostado con el ex agente del FBI.
Anton decide perdonarla, pero Deb, fiel a sus principios, opina que Anton no se merece eso y acuerda que se irá a otro lugar a vivir. El lugar no es otro que la casa de Dex y Rita.
Tras comparar lo rota que está su vida y cómo su hermano parece esforzarse en destruir una idílica família, los Morgan se reunen en el que és para mí el mejor momento del capítulo, además de suponer la mejor actuación de Jennifer Carpenter en el momento en que Deb se siente destrozada y culpable por lo sucedido.
Finalmente nuestro protagonista consigue encontrar a Trinity y aunque no consigue evitar que éste termine su tercer asesinato, le sigue hasta su casa y descubre algo que tal vez le haga replantearse sus dudas acerca de la vida en familia para un depredador nocturno…
Como curiosidad, solo decir que Crepúsculo ha llegado incluso a casa de nuestro analista de sangre favorito: Cuando Deb se instala en la habitación de Astor, podemos ver en la pared detrás de Rita un gran poster de Edward Cullen.
