Pues como dice en el título de la entrada, Disney ya he completado su elenco de princesas, ya que le ha añadido la única que le faltaba, la negra. Acabo de volver del cine de ver la película, y bueno, ya mañana la comentaré, pero ahora me voy a centrar en lo curioso del caso. En un principio todas las princesas eran blancas, rubias o morenas o incluso pelirrojas como Ariel, sino me equivoco la primera de otra raza fue Yasmin, de origen arabe.
Imagino que para abrir mercados nuevos, contentar a la población árabe de que ellos tambien tenian una princesa Disney, y claro, como era de esperar la formula se repitió con Pocahontas, que representaba al pueblo indio o nativo, con lo cual ya contentó a parte del público de esa raza, aunque todo sea dicho de menor número que el árabe (quizás por eso si buscas princesas disney casi siempre te salen las mismas, el grupo formado por La bella durmiente, Blancanieves, Ariel, Yasmin, Bella y Cenicienta). La cosa parecia pausada pero en el año 1998 sacaron Mulan, ya que la receta era facil, si en China hay 1300 millones de personas, solo con que un 10 por ciento vea la película(130 millones) ya sale rentable.
Lo que me extraña de todos modos es que hayan tardado 12 años en sacar de nuevo una película de princesas, más que nada que entre Aladdin (1992), Pocahontas (1995) y Mulan(1998) solo pasaron 3 años entre ellas.Curioso pero faltaba la princesa negra, la que parecia que no llegaría y además con un amplio mercado al cual abarcar. Lo veo más bien como un recurso que no sacaron en su momento y que lo guardaban por si no se les ocurria nada o las cosas iban mal y bueno, parece que encaja con las otras princesas.
¿Podra Tiara irse con todas las princesas de compras, a tomar cafés y criticar a sus maridos ?¿Se unirá a este supergrupo de princesas?
Por cierto…¿En que momento se conocieron esas princesas que siempre salen superfelices juntas? ¿Es que las princesas solo pueden ser amigas de princesas?
Yo creo que Mulán y Pocahontas no les caen bien porque no les gusta llevar vestiditos. En fin…quedan tantas preguntas por responder sobre el mundo de las princesas Disney, pero otra pregunta…
