La tendencia natural de catalogar las cosas solo por su apariencia externa, hace que haya infinidad de películas que no nos molestamos en ver tan solo porque su título no nos atrae. Es lo que me pasó con ésta película, sin embargo me animé a verla por las buenas sensaciones que me transmitió quien me la recomendó. Ahora soy yo, desde series de pelicula, quien os anima a que la disfruteis.
Dirigida por Jeremy Leven y con banda sonora compuesta por el ya desaparecido Michael Kamen, (X-men), nos llegó en 1995 Don Juan de Marco.
Con un reparto encabezado por Marlon Brando, Johnny Depp y Faye Dunaway, el film nos narra la historia de Jack Miglon,un psiquiatra al que le quedan diez días para su jubilación, y que decide encargarse del curioso caso de un chico que está convencido de ser la encarnación de Don Juan.
Mientras el resto de doctores del centro, insiste simplemente en medicar al chico y decidir si es necesario su internamiento definitivo, el Dr. Miglon decide escuchar la historia del muchacho.
Lo que la película nos muestra es cómo las vivéncias relatadas por éste particular Don Juan, cambian el enfoque de la vida del doctor y en particular la relación con su mujer.
Nos encontramos con una historia sencilla y sin pretensiones, pero que nos transporta a un mundo romántico por su forma de ser narrada. Poco a poco, mientras el relato avanza empiezas a desear que el personaje interpretado por Depp sea Don Juan, por muy inverosímil que pueda parecer.
Una película que recomiendo para ver tanto en pareja, como en solitario por la forma en la que nos sumerge en ese bonito mundo vivido por el personaje de Depp.
En una época donde se necesitan carísimos efectos especiales para sumergir al espectador en la historia, es de agradecer que queden películas que lo consigan tan solo por su relato.
