Comentando el otro dia los grandisimos Mtv Movie awards salio el nombre de Johnny Depp, quien debe estar llorando porque no pudo conseguir el premio a mejor estrella global(Modo ironico off) por su papel de sombrerero loco. Asi que me dispuse a verla, una dupla Depp-Bale tenia pinta de ser impactante y así lo fue, aunque es un poco flojo el papel de Christian.
La película (excelentemente dirigida por Michael Mann) es un Biopic de John Dillinger (interpretado por Johnny Depp), un icono de la cultura popular americana. Como historia lo unico que puedo decir, es que comparando con la información de internet via google y sobretodo Wikipedia, la película es muy fiel a la verdadera historia, claro que siempre se han de cambiar cosas para poder darle el toque de película, como por ejemplo el hecho de que en la película la mujer de la cual se enamora Billie Frechette no existio como tal en la vida real, en cambio si que estuvo casado con otras tres mujeres, una cuando era joven, la siguiente que sería a la que representaría Billie, y la tercera, de la cual no sabemos nada en la película. El hecho de que lo hayan hecho así es para darle el toque más romántico a la historia, para mostrar la cara mas amable e íntima del ladrón, y siempre queda mejor si la muestran como la mujer de su vida, no como su segunda esposa. La verdad es que la historia de este hombre es bastante increible, se fugó de dos carceles, y robaba ladrones con la minima violencia y nunca contra civiles. Por otra parte encontramos al agente Melvin Purvis (interpretado por Christian Bale) que se encarga de darle caza al astuto ladrón.
Una película con una gran fotografía, una banda sonora impecable de manos de Elliot Goldenthal, y un ambiente que te transporta a los años 30 gracias a una escenografía muy lograda. El director, Michael Mann, hace un gran trabajo y demuestra que esto de los biopic es algo que le sale bien, como ya demostró con Alí. Es una película muy entretenida, aunque quizás algo larga, pero que sin duda los amantes del cine de gangsters sabrán apreciar.
