Un capítulo centrado en los dos personajes posiblemente más atormentados por sus visiones: Demetri Noh, y Olivia Bendford.
Y es que ambos se niegan a aceptar sus “futuros impuestos”, como parecen hacer sus respectivos compañeros de trabajo Mark y Bryce respectivamente.
El episodio tiene como hilo principal el el tratamiento de un paciente de Olivia que como curiosidad comenta que en su flashforward se vió convertido en un afro americano.
El tipo tiene un coágulo formándose en su cabeza, lo cual requiere una operación quirúrjica. Sin embargo, Bryce, que le ha dado gran importancia a la visión del paciente, descubre que éste tiene una rara enfermedad hormonal que hace extremadamente peligrosa su intervención y que curiosamente tiene entre sus efectos la pigmentación de la piel, lo que concuerda con su flashforward.
Bryce y Olivia discuten sobre la veracidad que hay que otorgarle a los flashforwards, influenciados claramente por motivos personales. Mientras que a Bryce le cambió la vida parece ser que para bien, a la doctora Bendford le anúncia el futuro fin de su matrimonio.
Mientras tanto Demetri decide iniciar la investigación de los contactos de la terrorista que detuvieron el día del incidente, creyendo que así podrá encontrar a su futuro asesino. Mark al principio no entiende por qué su compañero se empeña en iniciar una investigación “menor” cuando parecen haber encontrado un precedente en el incidente del desmayo colectivo. Pero después de que Noh le explique la información que recibió de una llamada anónima en la que se anunciaba su muerte, ambos parecen volver a formar un sólido equipo nuevamente.
Por otra parte se nos presenta por fin la visión de Nicole, la habitual niñera de Charlie y que no había vuelto al trabajo desde el desvanecimiento. En él, la chica ve como está siendo ahogada, pero lo peor es que siente, en su visión, que es el justo castigo por alguna acción que todavía tiene que hacer.
Y finalmente tenemos a Lloyd Simcoe, quien parece destinado a estar cerca de la doctora Bendford a pesar de los muchos esfuerzos de ésta por evitarle.
Pero cuando podía parecer que toda la importancia de éste personaje era la de romper el matrimonio de Mark y Olivia, nos enteramos de que es uno de los responsables del desvanecimiento al recibir la llamada de Simon, el otro responsable.
