Una nueva gran película recién salida del horno por el genial Clint Eastwood. Un director capaz de conmover y emocionar con ideas sencillas como la que plantea con Gran Torino. Sin duda es una lección para productores y directores que para vender su idea y convertirlo en taquillazo necesitan un equipo de expertos en efectos especiales, sueldos de actores con una gran cantidad de ceros y en casos como El caso de Benjamin Button, un gran equipo de maquillaje como ya se premió en la reciente gala de los Oscar.
Por suerte, no todo son películas donde brillan mas la estética que la idea, el guión o la interpretación. En éste caso Eastwood recrea en su película, una idea que probablemente hayan filmado en cientos de películas anteriores sin ningún éxito, pero la magia o genialidad de un artista esta también en convertir ideas sencillas en proyectos de una calidad excelente, sin apenas localizaciones, sin apenas efectos, pero con una brillante puesta en escena y un increíble actor interpretando en ella. Muy a destacar de la película, el dialogo, los planos tan personales y de la marca del director, esa mezcla entre la realidad mas cruel y mas humana, una visión real sobre la vida misma, un dialogo sobre la comunicación y la convivencia entre diferentes etnias.
Al igual como sucedió en anteriores películas como Mistic river, el director busca una trama bien encauzada y siempre tratando de ocultar de forma brillante al espectador un final que nunca se espera. Es capaz de mantener atento al espectador a lo largo de toda la película sin preveer en ningún momento de que forma acabara. Es una de las claves que comienzan a marcar su personalidad como director.
