Es una serie que nos cuenta los casos de un grupo del FBI especializado en asesinos en serie. En cada capitulo nos encontraremos con un caso distinto y que finalizará en el mismo episodio. Solo algun episodio que otro podrá traer consecuencias en el futuro. Se trata de una serie donde el argumento principal son los casos, como suele ser en series de resolver crimenes, solo una pequeña parte se dedica a hablar del argumento continuo. El equipo esta formado por Aaron Hotchner (situado en el centro de la imagen), que es el jefe de la división, es uno de los hombres duros, lider y serio. A su derecha tiene a David Rossi, hombre que estuvo de excedencia del cuerpo para escribir libros de estudios de conducta, pero vuelve para cubrir la plaza que deja Jason Gideon, el verdadero lider de esta serie ya que es el agente más preparado y mas valioso que tiene el FBI en casos de asesinos en serie, pero que abandona en la tercera temporada. El hombre a la izquierda de Hotchner es Derek Morgan, el tipo duro de la serie, a su izquierda encontramos una chica morena que es Emily Prentiss, tipica mujer atada con su trabajo y un tanto amargada. A la izquierda del todo, encontramos al Doctor Reid, que es el listo del grupo, tiene un coeficiente muy por encima de lo normal, es un genio que siempre sabe de todos los temas. Y a la derecha tenemos a JJ, que viene a ser la secretaria de todo el equipo y Penelope García(más a la derecha del todo), que hace de informática hacker y siempre consigue todos los datos que necesite. Este equipo se encarga basicamente de hacer perfiles psicológicos de los asesinos en series, para poder saber cual será su conducta y cogerlo. Aunque al principio la idea es un tanto rara, ya que no nos encontramos con muchos casos de asesinos en series y en esta serie en cada capitulo hay uno, es una serie que engancha, para ver que caso es, que hay que resolver. No es tan cientifico como el CSI, quizás más psicologico, aunque tiene grandes dosis de acción lo cual hace que la trama no se duerma. Como curiosidad podria decir que al principio de cada capítulo y al final dicen una cita famosa, siempre relacionandola con el caso, lo cual le da un plus, ya que puedes aprender y quedarte con algunas citas realmente buenas. Es una serie que en breve tendrá su propio descuartizando series, pero que igualmente iremos desmenuzando capítulo a capítulo, temporada a temporada.
