En el año 2000, un curioso consurso apareció por primera vez en nuestro país, aunque ya había triunfado en otros paises.
La idea era simple aunque sin duda chocante: diez desconocidos, (posteriormente serían doce), compartirían una casa repleta de cámaras que retransmitirían su día a día las 24 horas. Los habitantes de esa casa, estarían completamente ajenos al mundo exterior y deberían ir pasando unas pruebas semanales que servirían para mantener o aumentar la cantidad de dinero que tenían para hacer la compra semanal.
Cotilleo máximo para unos, experimento sociológico increible para otros… lo cierto es que la primera edición tuvo un éxito incuestionable.
Pero como todos sabemos, el éxito en televisión conduce al estiramiento máximo, hasta agotar todas las posibilidades de la fórmula y que ésta se traduzca en un definitivo fracaso.
Personalmente considero que la parte de experimento sociológico desapareció tras la primera edición y ahora es el argumento principal, por no decir único, de la defensa del programa.
Cualquier experimento que se precie de serlo con un mínimo de rigor científico, debe estar realizado bajo una serie de “condiciones de laboratorio” y cualquier experimento posterior que se realice incluyendo una variación, sigue sujeto a esas condiciones.
En el caso de Gran Hermano, las condiciones de laboratorio que hicieron de la primera edición un posible experimento sociológico fueron:
-Sujetos desconocidos entre sí
-Desconexión con el mundo exterior
-Vigiláncia permanente mediante cámaras.
-Superar pruebas para conseguir sustento.
Es cierto que incluso en la primera edición, hubieron participantes que entraron una vez iniciado el concurso, pero éstos lo hicieron en sustitución de concursantes que abandonaron por voluntad propia y bajo la condición de no revelar absolutamente ningún tipo de información. Además, una vez dentro, los nuevos participantes quedaban completamente aislados.
Edición tras edición hemos podido observar como se alteraban todas estas condiciones: se organizan fiestas para los habitantes de la casa, se les deja mantener un leve contacto con seres queridos cuando aún están a medio programa, se les conceden horas sin cámaras para que puedan “desfogarse”, (aunque luego no les importe que haya cámaras), incluso hemos podido observar a famaliares participando juntos…
Todas las condiciones han sido destruidas o alteradas “por el bien del espectáculo”.
Todo ello unido a unos castings que ayudan a guionizar la edición de turno… No digo que el programa esté guionizado, aunque tampoco lo descarto ya, pero el tipo de personas que elijas determinarán en gran medida el ambiente previsible, y hemos visto temporadas de gran agresividad y temporadas de gran tensión sexual, ¿coincidencia? Personalmente creo que no siempre. Sin embargo debo decir que éste aspecto hubiese podido ser el más interesante de haberse mantenido las condiciones de laboratorio intactas…. Pero señores ésto es televisión, no ciencia.
Todo ello nos ha llevado al súmum del esperpento… Una edición de ex participantes agrupados en parejas por motivos varios y que nadie parece saber con certeza cuando acabará.
Lo triste es que en un país donde el cotilleo impera en la televisión, un programa que use el cotilleo como medio siempre triunfará, nada más importa… Y es que hace ya muchos años que la premisa en la televisión no es la calidad sinó la que cantó en su día Freddy Mercury: “Show must go on”… El espectáculo debe continuar… aunque un servidor cree que no a cualquier precio.
