Nuevo capítulo de TBBT, inspirado ya en la temática navideña, podemos ver como Penny y Leonard adornan el arbol de navidad que Leonard nunca tuvo en su infancia, hasta aquí todo bien, sino fuera porque Sheldon les arrebata la ilusión y la magia tan propia de estos tiempos dandoles sus particulares explicaciones. Pero Leonard tiene algo que contar a Penny, su madre va a venir a pasar unos días, y el problema está en que no le ha contado que tiene novia.¿Esta avergonzado de su novia o bien lo hace para protegerla de los ataques de su madre?
Llega el dia D y de camino del aeropuerto a casa, vemos que la relación entre Sheldon y la madre de Leonard es mucho mejor que la que pueda tener con su propio hijo. Ya pudimos comprobar en otro capítulo como podia ser de fria y exigente la madre de Leonard, pero realmente le da mucho juego al capítulo segun que comentarios realiza, ya que podemos ver en ella un Sheldon feminizado. Durante la cena Leonard descubre, que además de que su perro ha muerto, sus padres se van a divorciar¿El motivo? Su padre le ha puesto los cuernos con una camarera. Justo lo que necesitaba para hacer más incomoda la situación, aunque peor aún, Sheldon lo sabía todo, Leonard se siente traicionado por su madre y se va a dormir con la rabieta propia de un adolescente.
Como Leonard esta un tanto cabreado no le queda más remedio a Penny que llevar a su suegra de vuelta al hotel. En ese momento se da cuenta que si quiere mejorar su relación con su suegra, tendrá que utilizar algo de bebida deshinibidora, alcohol. Copa tras copa, Penny no puede resistirse a contarle que está con su hijo, y ésta se extraña de porque lo había hecho, y despues de pensarlo un poco o bien Leonard esta insultando a su novia o bien a su madre. Así que deciden ir a preguntarle. Leonard sigue en la cama triste (despues de un intento de Sheldon de animarlo), hasta que aparecen las dos mujeres de su vida(no creo que haya más sinceramente) borrachas, buscando respuestas de un Leonard con pinta de niño recien levantado. El no le había dicho nada a su madre porque ella tampoco le habia dicho nada de su vida y de las decisiones que habia tomado, despues de un abrazo bastante forzado(pese al alcohol), manda a Leonard a su cama y su líbido salta por los aires cuando ve a Sheldon y siente la necesidad de besarle, todo esto ante el asombro de nuestro pobre genio, que solo se habia levantado para preguntar que hacía Leonard dando cabezazos contra la pared.
A la mañana, de vuelta al aeropuerto, vemos que acepta a Penny como novia, dice que es adorable y encantadora, y que debido a su intelecto no podría realizar otros trabajos así que tenia que cuidar de ella. Sin duda la salsa de este episodio es la madre de Leonard, que junto a Sheldon, forman un tándem científico de lo más peculiar. Es una pena que Howard y Raj solo aparezcan en la cena para desmentir su homosexualidad. Un buen capítulo, segunda aparición de la madre en 3 temporadas, cuando será la próxima vez. Solo Sheldon lo sabe.
