Jackie Chan y Jaden Smith seran el nuevo señor Miyagi y Daniel en este remake de la popular película de los 80. Sin embargo hay que tener algunas diferencias obvias en cuenta. La acción transcurre en china, y el arte marcial en concreto será el Wushu (popularmente llamado Kung Fu) Además ni siquiera los nombres de los personajes son los mismos. Nos encontramos entonces con la reversión de un clásico “como debió hacerse entonces”. Con una calidad técnica en las coreografías de la que Ralph Macchio, (Daniel), carecía por completo. Perece interesante.
