Tengo que confesar que cuando vi el cartel de esta serie no me llamo para nada, realmente no sabia ni de que iba y si me podría llegar a gustar, pero al ver el primer episodio te empiezas a encariñar de esta serie poco a poco. Empecemos por partes, el protagonista es Neal Caffrey(Matt Bomer, quien tambien desempeño un papel en Chuck, haciendo de superespía), un ladron de guante blanco, encarcelado en una prisión de máxima seguridad. A falta de 4 semanas para su libertad huye, se escapa (primera escena de la serie) de una manera muy original y muy fina. Neal huye porque teme que algo le pueda estar pasando a su novia y no es capaz de esperar esas semanas porque puede ser que este en peligro.
Por otra parte, tenemos a Peter interpretado por Tim DeKay, es un agente del FBI y la única persona que logró capturar a Neal, y tras su fuga, él es el más indicado, solo que el ya sabe que irá detrás de su novia, asi que lo encuentran en el piso que compartian y lo vuelve a meter en la prisión. El asunto está en que Peter esta investigando un caso muy importante, y Neal le convence para que le deje salir y asesorarle, trabajando para el con un sistema rastreador incorporado. Basicamente ese es el planteamiento, despues del primer caso se hace un colaborador más del FBI.
Cada capítulo es un caso distinto de un ladrón, falsificador..etc. y es básicamente lo que centra el argumento pero sin dejar de lado la historia amorosa de Neal, que busca al captor de su novia. Durante la serie se ven muchas desconfianzas por parte de uno y de otro, entre Neal y Peter, ya que uno no deja de ser un ladrón y el otro un agente federal.
Como secundarios podemos encontrar con Elizabeth, interpretada por Tiffani Thiessen (la novia de Zack en salvados por la campana). Luego tendriamos a Mozzie, que es el amigo ladrón de Neal, y es un tipo muy particular, y la única persona en la que realmente puede confiar Neal.
Sin duda es una serie muy entretenida, pegadiza si es que te gustan las series de resolver casos, y una buena serie para pasar el rato, ver como nuestro ladrón es un chulito al cual todas las chicas le van detrás y que tiene mucho éxito, pero que le falta lo más importante, que es su novia, lo cual nos demuestra que realmente ni las joyas ni obras de arte ni dinero no son siempre sinonimo de felicidad, sino que le pregunten a Neal.
